Just a stroll down the road is the small and charming village of Honomu. It sits slightly off the Belt Highway, and has the look and feel of old Hawaii. Formerly home to the Honomu Sugar Company, it is now home to a cafe, a bakery, a zipline tour company, a lovely koa furniture shop, and several gift shops and places of worship.
