INABA KONA HOTEL
Built in 1926 by Jindero and Hatsuyo Inaba this historic three-story hotel perches along the old Route 180 that has been designated an American Scenic Byway. it became the main access road for the community in Holualoa that grew into the commercial hub. The Inabas built the hotel to provide accomodations for the travelers going around the island since it took more than a days travel.
