This Volcano retreat space follows the legacy created by the MacKenzie Family, the owners who built the home currently on the land.  For decades, it has been and continues to be, a gorgeous and cherished space for community gatherings, sharing, and celebrations of all kinds.

The peaceful sanctuary is a haven of dynamic, lush living on 6.3 acres of land. Guests enjoy bird songs, our resident Hawaiian hawk, and the daily elements of sun, mist, rain, rainbows, and refreshing cool winds in the rainforests of Mauna Loa.  

In the main home, large viewing windows draw you into the embrace of the rainforest itself.  Just before sunset, a soft, low mist rolls in through the trees towards the home, marking a mystical end to another breathtaking day.  Nights are clear and bright and the Milky Way is one of the many easily-seen astronomical wonders directly overhead while thousands of twinkling stars blanket the sky.

High-energy forests surround Kilauea and Halemaumau Craters and lend fuel to a life of creativity and passion.
