This is the land of towering Ohi'a trees, some of the largest on earth. There is also Koa and Sandlewood throughout the property. It is the habitat for numerous endemic bird and plant species.

Located on the upland slopes of Mauna Kea mountain, the land of Kuka'iau has long played a role with Hawaiian royalty. The Hawaiian chief Palila, a renowned warrior, often retreated here to gather strength, enjoy the towering Ohia forest and watch the sunrise from the vast Pacific Ocean.

This majestic parcel is located at the foothills of the historic Kuka'iua Ranch, an operating cattle ranch established in the 1800's. Umikoa Village, a plantation era village frozen in time is also an historic neighbor.

The 46 acres has many Koa and Ohi'a trees, including three Ohi'a of giant proportion. It is fenced on three sides and gated. A seasonal stream run through the property. Very private at the end of the cul-de-sac. The songbirds here are like nowhere else.

The 2,500 foot elevation allows for sunny days and cool nights. Thunder and rainstorms sent from above are occasional visitors, enhancing this divine setting.
